Heart health is a growing concern for many Americans. Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in the United States.

I had a reader question on the Facebook page asking how to naturally lower blood pressure. Here are some of my tips.

  1. Eat a real whole food diet, preferably of the Paleo/ancestral diet/grain free variety. This means no processed foods, no refined sugars, no fake foods, frankenfoods, GMO’s and eating happy healthy animals. 
  2. Use real salt like Himalayan sea salt, Celtic sea salt, or “real salt”. This salt has the natural minerals that are needed for your body to properly use the sodium in your food and gives the constituents to process sodium which refined, iodized salt does not.
  3. Use hawthorn herb to help promote cardiovascular health.
