Elderberry Life

Happy New Year!

The great thing about a new year is that we all make new commitments to our selves. I know a lot of my readers have made a commitment to use more natural health solutions and leaving the chemicals as a last resort in their lives. I am glad to be able to help people create a natural medicine cabinet. One herb that everyone should have in their natural healthcare arsenal is Elderberry.

I have already written extensively about Elder and Elderberry here but I will just give you a quick run down. Elderberry is a wonderful tasting berry herb that is most commonly known for its amazing ability to boost the immune system. Studies have shown that there are active components in Elder that stops the flu virus from replicating. It is high in anti-oxidants  and is also beneficial in improving heart health, lowering cholesterol, for cough, cold, flu, bacterial and viral infections and tonsillitis. This is an herb everyone should have on hand.

About 90% of all Elder products consumed in the US are imported from around the world, primarily from Europe.

This is why I am so excited to tell you about Elderberry Life products.

Elderberry Life is a new company with a great concept. They are located in North Carolina and have a mission to create healthy, wholesome products made from American grown elderberries.

They have been growing Elder trees for 6 years on a privately owned farm in Missouri that is being maintained by an organic farmer using organic practices and they are currently working toward organic certification for their products.

Elderberry Life makes some great juice combinations that are delicious. They sent me their sampler that included Elderberry Juice, Elderberry Peach Juice, Elderberry Aid,  Elderberry Herbal Cordial, Elderberry Jam and Jelly.

All of the products I have tried are wonderful. The juices are delicious on their own and are perfect for adding to kombucha and water keifer to add tasty flavor and a nutritious, immune boosting kick to the drinks! The jam and jelly are so tasty. We use it to sweeten our homemade yogurt instead of honey. It adds a beautiful pink color to the yogurt that is fun to make patterns with.  My daughter is demanding it every morning. She threw a fit when I added honey instead this morning. I am sure they are good on toast too, but we don’t eat bread! Someone is going to have to let me know how it is.

I especially appreciate that most of the products, with the exception of the Jam and Jelly, have no added sugar. They are naturally sweetened by other fruit juices.

I also want to mention their prices. After shopping around at whole foods and sprouts their elderberry product prices for this great product are very reasonable. In fact, they are between $2-4 less expensive than what I have found at Whole Foods and Sprouts, which did not have much of a variety. You can find them in some stores in North Carolina or you can order online here.

They offer FREE SHIPPING ON ANY ORDER OVER $100.00 Use coupon code, “I LOVE ELDERBERRY”.

These are great products and a delicious way to keep your immune system healthy and active all year long. They are easy and fun to use on a daily basis with no hassle!

Elderberry Life is sponsoring the GMO FREE Giveaway I have starting on January 20th. Keep an eye out so that you can enter to win a sampler pack just like the one I got!

Do you love Elderberry or need a daily, no hassle  tasty immune system boost? Try these products! I am sure you will enjoy them.

What Elderberry products would you like to see on the market?

  1. Pam B. says:

I grew up in a small city and we had an Elderberry Tree in our backyard.
My Mom and my aunts would pick the berries and make jams and jellies. They used the berries in pies as well. Eventually the tree had to be cut down due to blight. I have since moved, but often think about the tree and all those berries.
