I use coconut oil a lot. Like it is going out of style. I use it to cook, as lotion, as hair conditioner, and take it daily for wellness reasons. I LOVE coconut oil.

Tropical Traditions was kind enough to send me a sample of their Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil to test out. I got the 32oz jar two weeks ago and just ran out this morning. That is how often I use this stuff.

Virgin Coconut Oil, Gold Label – 1 quart

I put in an order of oil for my self at the same time that they sent me the sample jar. My order got here promptly via Fed Ex at the same time as the sample did. The online transaction was a little confusing. I did the BOGO deal they had going on that week and was not sure whether to enter 1 jar (and they would automatically add another to the shipment) or 2 jars (and they would give me one free). It turned out to be 1 jar and they would add another right before the final check out process.

Of course when I got the oil in I immediately opened it right up and started using it.

I am a big fan of the oil. It has a nice smooth taste and smells deliciously of coconut, but it does not have as strong of a coconut flavor as some other coconut oils do.

When I use it in cooking it does not leave behind a coconut flavor which my husband is very happy about. He HATES the flavor of coconut and is very pleased with the purity of this oil.

I have been using it as lotion and LOVE the way it smells and makes my skin feel. You only need a little bit and it goes a LONG way. I definitely use less than I ever did when I used lotion.

One of the other great things about Tropical Traditions Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil is the fact that it is sourced from small family farmers and processed traditionally to maintain the high quality nutrients in the oil.

One Response to Tropical Traditions Coconut Oil Review

Just an FYI, if you buy the Expeller Pressed Coconut Oil, it is completely flavorless and scentless. I buy this type as I use it a lot for cooking things like eggs and other savory dishes where the taste of coconut would not be desirable. It has the same benefits and properties of extra virgin coconut oil and is created in the same desirable processing without the use of chemicals and such, but you don’t get the flavor and scent for those who want the health benefits without the taste.
